Also known as aurora borealis, the Northern Lights are natural phenomena caused by solar activity interacting with the Earth’s atmosphere. They are best seen on clear, dark nights in the auroral zone, which stretches across high latitude regions of Canada, Alaska, Iceland, Norway, Finland and Sweden, near the Arctic Circle.

Cloud cover, light pollution and solar activity can all affect the likelihood of spotting the Northern Lights. Our experts monitor conditions to predict ideal viewing opportunities and will guide you to the best available locations during your trip. However, we cannot guarantee a Northern Lights sighting during your holiday. No refunds, credits or compensation will be provided if conditions prevent visibility or sightings do not occur.
