Today is free for leisure. Alternatively, you may join the optional Shanghai Day Tour with Maglev Train Experience (not included) to discover the city’s highlights. Visit the bustling Shanghai Bazaar for souvenir shopping, stroll through the stylish streets of Xintiandi where traditional Shikumen architecture meets modern design, and experience the world’s fastest commercially operating train, reaching speeds of up to 390 km/h.

In the evening, you may choose to enjoy an unforgettable Huangpu River Cruise (not included), offering spectacular views of Shanghai’s illuminated skyline.

Shanghai – Suzhou

After breakfast, discover the famous Bund, Shanghai’s iconic waterfront promenade. Admire the striking contrast between the historic European-style buildings on one side of the Huangpu River and the modern skyscrapers that dominate the opposite bank.

You will then travel to Suzhou, often referred to as the “Venice of the East.” En route, learn about China’s renowned silk industry with a visit to a Silk Spinning Factory, where you’ll witness the intricate process of transforming silkworm cocoons into fine silk products.

This evening, you may choose to attend the acclaimed Chinese Acrobatic Show, ERA: The Intersection of Time (not included), regarded as one of Shanghai’s premier performances.

Suzhou - Chengdu

Begin your day with a visit to the world-famous Master of Nets Garden, renowned for its elegant pavilions, tranquil waterways and traditional landscaping. Following your sightseeing, transfer to the airport for your flight to Chengdu. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to the railway station and board a high-speed bullet train to Xi’an. On arrival, you will be met by a local representative and transferred to your hotel.

Xi'an

After breakfast, visit the world-famous Terracotta Army, one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unearthed in 1974, this extraordinary collection of over 7,000 life-sized soldiers was created to guard Emperor Qin Shi Huang in the afterlife.

Following lunch, visit the UNESCO-listed Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, an important Buddhist landmark that once housed sacred scriptures brought from India. Continue to the Ancient City Wall, one of the best-preserved city fortifications in China.

This evening, you may choose to attend the optional Tang Dynasty Show, accompanied by a traditional dumpling banquet (not included).

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of China’s most significant imperial religious complexes. Explore its remarkable halls, including the iconic circular Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, renowned for its nail-free wooden construction.

Continue with a scenic journey to the legendary Great Wall at Juyong Pass, one of the less crowded and more authentic sections of this iconic monument. En route, stop at a Jade Museum to learn about the cultural importance of jade in Chinese history and observe skilled artisans at work.

This evening, you may choose to join an optional Hutong Tour with Peking Duck Banquet, featuring Beijing’s world-famous culinary specialty.

Today’s sightseeing begins at Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world, before continuing to the magnificent Forbidden City. Fitness

A moderate level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, including boarding and exiting/disembarking vehicles and other forms of transportation, walking up and down flights of stairs, and navigating occasional uneven or steep terrain. If airport transfers are included, they may not always reach the hotel door, so short walks may be required of you. This trip is not suitable for travellers’ requiring wheelchair, mobility scooters or specialised facilities. Other walking aids may be permitted if you are able to move independently and keep pace with the group. Please note that there will be a fair amount of walking and some locations will have stairs.
