Upon arrival in Beijing, you’ll be met by a tour representative and transferred to your hotel to relax and recover from your flight. The remainder of the day is free at leisure.
This evening, you may wish to attend the Golden Mask Dynasty show (optional), a grand and visually spectacular performance that tells a story of love and heroism through acrobatics, dance, and music.

Today’s highlight is a visit to the iconic Great Wall of China, one of the most recognizable symbols of China and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Travel to the Juyongguan section, an impressive and scenic stretch of the Wall that offers breathtaking views and a rich history.

In the afternoon, stop at a Jade Museum to learn about the cultural significance of jade in Chinese history.
This evening, you have the option to explore Beijing’s ancient Hutong alleyways—a 700-year-old network of narrow lanes that reflect traditional life in the city. This includes a Peking Duck banquet, a culinary highlight of your journey. Enjoy expertly roasted slices of duck wrapped in steamed pancakes with cucumber, spring onions, and sweet bean sauce, paired with a glass of wine.

After lunch, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, built in the 7th century, and later explore the impressive City Wall, one of the best-preserved city defences in the world.

Fitness
A moderate level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, including boarding and exiting/disembarking vehicles and other forms of transportation, walking up and down flights of stairs, and navigating occasional uneven or steep terrain. If airport transfers are included, they may not always reach the hotel door, so short walks may be required of you. This trip is not suitable for travellers’ requiring wheelchair, mobility scooters or specialised facilities. Other walking aids may be permitted if you are able to move independently and keep pace with the group. Please note that there will be a fair amount of walking and some locations will have stairs. If you have any health concerns, let us know when booking so we can help confirm if this trip is suitable for you.
