A moderate level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, including boarding and exiting/disembarking vehicles and other forms of transportation, walking up and down flights of stairs, and navigating occasional uneven or steep terrain. If airport transfers are included, they may not always reach the hotel door, so short walks may be required of you.  This trip is not suitable for travellers’ requiring wheelchair, mobility scooters or specialised facilities. Other walking aids may be permitted if you are able to move independently and keep pace with the group. Please note that there will be a fair amount of walking and some locations will have stairs. If you have any health concerns, let us know when booking so we can help confirm if this trip is suitable for you.

Itinerary

The itinerary is carefully designed to give a real insight into the highlights, culture and beauty of each location on the tour. Each day will be different, with a combination of travel days, sightseeing and free time to explore or take a breather as you wish. The operating schedule and itinerary may be impacted without notice by adverse weather, seasonal factors, closures, local conditions, COVID-19 or other factors beyond our control including force majeure. If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, alternatives will be provided where possible. The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by the operator for optimum safety, enjoyment and operation. Any reference to ‘optional’, ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense. Strict driving hours are implemented according to European Regulations of which have been worked into our planned itineraries.

Baggage

Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on the coach tour, superseding any other baggage allowance. Excess baggage is not permitted. You are strongly encouraged to pack lightly. A light day bag or backpack is permitted on the coach. Porterage is not included and you are required to carry your own bags. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

Meals

Please notify us at the time of booking of any medical dietary requirements and allergies. We will pass on your requirements but cannot guarantee that they can be met as certain choices may be limited or not catered for. You are encouraged to reconfirm requirements with your Tour Leader whilst on tour. Breakfast at hotels is typically continental buffet style cold dishes and basic hot dishes. Other included meals are typically chosen to complement the local experience.

Accommodation

A range of accommodation styles including hotels, resorts and lodges are carefully selected to suit the prevailing size of the group. The accommodation may not be located in the city or town centre but are typically chosen to be near public transport options. The suggested accommodation list is an indicative guide for the standard of accommodation and not necessarily representative of the location or property type. The actual accommodation list will differ, and the confirmed accommodation will be provided on your final documentation. The accommodation is typically local or self rated. All rooms are lead-in category or run of house unless otherwise specified. The standard check-in time is after 3pm and check-out is before 10am – actual times may vary.

Tipping

Tipping for guides and drivers is discretionary and strongly recommended as a gesture of appreciation for the service provided. It is customary to tip at least £2 (GBP) per person per day each for the Tour Leader and driver at the end of the tour.

Flights

The outbound flight may depart one day prior to day 1 shown on the itinerary. The inbound flight may arrive one day after the final day shown on the itinerary. Flights are booked approximately 8 to 10 months prior to departure. The flights included in your package are based on a specific predetermined airfare allowance. Should there be a significant increase in airfares, fuel levies, taxes or government fees at the time of booking flights, then an airfare supplement may be imposed. The flights team will discuss options with you prior to ticketing, should this situation arise. Flights may not operate daily or directly to your destination. No show of any flight sectors will result in the automatic cancellation of all onward flights by the airline.

Fuel

In the unlikely event of a significant increase in fuel costs levied by third-party air, land and cruise transportation operators before travel, a fuel supplement may be passed on to the customer.

Coach

Our elegant coaches are equipped with safety belts, reclining seats, air-conditioning, onboard toilets, huge windows and plenty of legroom to ensure that your tour is a pleasure from the moment you set foot on the coach and throughout your journey.

You will meet like-minded travellers on tour and may even make lifelong friends. This holiday will proceed with a minimum group size of approximately 30 passengers and a maximum group size of approximately 48 passengers. If the trip does not operate, you will be offered a credit. Optional programs may require minimum numbers to operate.

Your Tour Leader will be experienced, friendly and passionate to share each destination with you. They will be on hand to offer suggestions for extra activities, local dining options and more while you are on tour.

Airport transfers are not included.

Breakaway

Customers must remain with the tour group at all times and must not leave the tour unless written approval is provided before departure.
