You’ll be greeted by a representative at Noi Bai International Airport and transferred to the hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, the rest of the day is at leisure.

Note: Due to flight times and schedules, some customers may be required to depart the day prior on an overnight flight from Australia.

Hanoi Highlights & Cooking Class

Begin your day with a delightful stroll through the heart of Hanoi, starting at the Presidential Palace on Hung Vuong Street. Stop at Kim Ngan Temple, over 500 years old, before enjoying a refreshing drink at a local ‘Tra chan’ spot, with a splendid view of St Joseph’s Cathedral – a symbol of Vietnam’s French history.

In the afternoon, enjoy a hands-on cooking class with a local Hanoian host. Learn to prepare authentic Vietnamese dishes, then cook alongside the chef and savour your creations, accompanied by beer, in the cosy home of your host.

Best Time to Travel

The tour has been designed to run during the most comfortable and rewarding times of year. Here’s what to expect in each travel season:

March – April (Spring)

May – June (Early Summer)
Expect warmer days and rising humidity in the north, balanced by sunshine and beach-friendly weather in Central Vietnam. In the south, afternoons may bring brief tropical showers, but mornings are generally clear and ideal for exploring.

October – November (Autumn to Early Winter)
A great time to travel with cooler, drier conditions in the north and crisp scenery in Hanoi and Ninh Binh. Central Vietnam may see some rain in September–October, but by November the sunshine returns to Hoi An. The south is warm and dry, offering some of the best conditions of the year.
