Welcome to India! On arrival in New Delhi airport, meet your local tour leader with a transfer to your hotel. Our tour leader will accompany you on this incredible adventure for the next 8 days.
After breakfast spend a full day exploring the bustling old town with a rickshaw ride in Chandi Chowk and seeing the grand architecture of New Delhi. Drive by parliament buildings and India Gate memorial. This includes a visit to the stunning medieval Qutb Minar and Humayun’s Tomb one of first and beautiful garden tombs. At the end of the day finish at Connaught’s Place, in the heart of New Delhi.

Start your day with a scenic drive through the picturesque countryside en route to Agra. Upon arrival, explore the impressive Agra Fort, a striking red sandstone fortress that curves along the banks of the Yamuna River. Next, visit the breathtaking Taj Mahal, an architectural masterpiece built in the mid-17th century by the Mughal emperor in memory of his beloved wife. In the evening, dinner is included at the hotel’s rooftop Mughal dining room, offering a perfect end to your day.

This morning, drive to Ranthambore National Park, stopping along the way to explore the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri. This once-glorious Mughal capital was mysteriously deserted within 20 years due to water shortages. Its remarkably well-preserved palaces and courtyards offer a fascinating glimpse into the grandeur of the Mughal Empire at its height. Afterward, continue to Ranthambore, a renowned wildlife reserve famous for its tiger population, where you’ll spend the next two nights immersed in nature.

Eary morning rise to start our safari with the possibility of spotting tigers. Keep your eyes peeled for these majestic creatures strolling in the jungle or near any of the local lakes on our morning and afternoon safaris. The park is also home to many colourful birds as well as deer, gazelle, monkeys and more. There will also be time to explore the local bazaar in the nearby town of Sawai Madhopur.

After breakfast, depart for Jaipur, arriving in time for lunch. Known as the Pink City, Jaipur was painted terracotta pink in 1876 to honor the visit of the Prince of Wales and Queen Victoria. In the afternoon, explore the magnificent City Palace, including the seven-story Chandra Mahal (Moon Palace), the remarkable astronomical observatory, and the elegant zenana mahals (harems). This evening, enjoy free time to wander through the vibrant bazaars, for some shopping and immerse yourself in the city’s lively atmosphere. Stay in Jaipur for two nights.

This morning, visit the majestic Amber Fort, which rises dramatically along the hillside. Built in the 16th century by Rajput kings using pale yellow and pink sandstone and white marble, the fort remains remarkably well preserved. Explore the large ramparts, series of gates, cobbled paths, and glittering mirrors. After a special lunch, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore the streets of Jaipur at your own pace.

Pace
This tour offers a mix of historic sites, big cities and the chance to spot Tigers. Travel between the cities is by coach, around 4 to 5 hours, with some early starts. Refer to itinerary for details.
Fitness
A moderate level of fitness is required. including the ability to board transport, navigate uneven terrain, walk in crowds, and manage your own baggage. It is unsuitable for wheelchairs or mobility scooters.
Tipping (Local Payment)
Suggested local payment: $100 AUD pp
Tipping is customary in India. A suggested amount of $100 AUD per person (approx. $10-12 AUD per day). This is for the tour leader and driver.

Important Information
Exclusions
Meals & transfers not stated, drinks on meals, optional programs, visas (if required), travel insurance (strongly recommended), tipping, laundry, personal expenses and anything not explicitly specified are at your own expense.
Payment
A first deposit from $499 per person is required to secure your booking. A second deposit for flights is due 12 months before departure – the amount to be advised at the time of booking. The final balance will be due 5 months before departure. Full payment is due at the time of booking for departures within 5 months.
Fitness
A moderate level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, including getting on and off transport, walking stairs and in crowds and the occasional uneven or steep terrain. You will be required to manage your own baggage. This trip is not suitable for wheelchair, mobility scooters or facilities for disabled guests. Other walking aids may be permitted if you are able move about unassisted at the required pace. For advice on whether this trip is suitable for you, you are required to disclose physical ailments at the time of booking.
Solo Occupancy
A single supplement from $900 per person is payable in addition to the twin share price for solo occupancy.

Extra Accommodation
Pre or post tour accommodation for one or two people in Delhi with breakfast, in the same tour hotel or similar area, can be added with rates from $250 per room per night, subject to availability. Transfers are not included for extended stays.
Child
This tour is best enjoyed by adult travellers and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Children 12 years and above are subject to the adult price and must be accompanied by an adult.
Price
Surcharges may apply for select travel periods and departure cities. Prices are correct at time of publication and are subject to availability, change, cancellation or withdrawal without notice. All prices are in Australian dollars per person twin share unless stated otherwise.
Change & Cancellation Fees
Changes for any reason will incur a fee of $110 per person per change in addition to any travel service provider fees. Cancellation for any reason will incur a fee of $550 per person in addition to any travel service provider fees. Travel service provider fees for the tour and air components of the package are dependent on the date of the change or cancellation as follows:
Airfares are generally non-refundable but any refundable ticket taxes will be returned. Full details of the change and cancellation fees is outlined in the Terms & Conditions available on our website.
Deviation
Any request to deviate from the original dates or routing, including early arrival and stay behind, is subject to a flight deviation fee from $150 per person plus applicable airfare and tax difference. Packaged tour extensions are not subject to the deviation fee (applicable airfare and tax difference may still apply) if booked according to the original advertised dates and routing.
Passport
For international travel, each customer must provide a copy of the passport photo page at the time of booking. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all names are full names exactly matched to the passport with six months validity beyond trip completion. The customer is liable for all fees due to incorrect names, invalid passport information and expired passports.
Ranthambore National Park
India Government regulations require passport details to book the Ranthambore Safari.
Visa
Tourist visas are required for Australian and most other nationalities travelling to India.

It is the responsibility of the passenger to check with the consulate or embassy for each origin and destination and if a visa is required.
The customer is liable for all visa costs and fees due to failure to obtain the required visa documents.
Health
It is the responsibility of the customer to check and comply with the health, vaccination, COVID-19 and immigration requirements of each origin and destination country, and health requirements imposed by air, tour, cruise and accommodation providers. Vaccinations, testing and quarantine costs are the expense of the customer. Comprehensive travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage is strongly recommended.
Baggage
Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on the coach tour, superseding any other baggage allowance. Excess baggage is not permitted. You are strongly encouraged to pack lightly. A light day bag or backpack is permitted on the coach. Porterage is not included, and you are required to carry your own bags. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
Meals
Please notify us at the time of booking of any special dietary requirements and allergies. We will pass on your requirements but cannot guarantee that they can be met as certain choices may be limited or not catered for. You are encouraged to reconfirm requirements with your tour leader whilst on tour.
Tipping
Tipping for guides and drivers is discretionary and recommended as a gesture of appreciation for the service provided. It is customary to tip the tour leader and driver at the end of the tour. Budget (approx. AUD-10) per person per day for drivers, guides and service people.
Flights
The outbound flight may depart one day prior to day 1 shown on the itinerary. The inbound flight may arrive one day after the final day shown on the itinerary. Flights are booked approximately 8 to 10 months prior to departure. The flights included in your package are based on a specific predetermined airfare allowance. Should there be a significant increase in airfares, fuel levies, taxes or government fees at the time of booking flights, then an airfare supplement may be imposed. The flights team will discuss options with you prior to ticketing, should this situation arise. Flights may not operate daily or directly to your destination. No show of any flight sectors will result in the automatic cancellation of all onward flights by the airline.
Fuel
In the unlikely event of a significant increase in fuel costs levied by third-party air, land and cruise transportation operators before travel, a fuel supplement may be passed on to the customer.
Transfers
Transfers are included on the first and last day of the tour. If you book extra nights in Delhi at the beginning or end of the tour, transfers are not included. Transfers may operate at designated times and may be group or independent services using private transportation.
Group Size
This holiday will proceed with a minimum group size of passengers. If the trip does not operate, you will be offered a credit. Group size is maximum 20 people.
Itinerary
The operating schedule and itinerary may be impacted without notice by adverse weather, seasonal factors, closures, local conditions, COVID-19 or other factors beyond our control including force majeure. If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, alternatives will be provided where possible. The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by the operator for optimum safety, enjoyment and operation. Any reference to ‘optional’, ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense.
Breakaway
Customers must always remain with the tour group and must not leave the tour unless written approval is provided before departure.
Documentation
Final documentation will be emailed within two weeks of departure. For packages consisting of multiple tours or countries, documentation will be emailed individually within two weeks of departure of each respective tour.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included and is strongly recommended. Ask our holiday experts for great coverage options.
Force Majeure
Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
