Hobart – Mt Field National Park – Strahan

Launceston - Scamande

Travel east through Tasmania’s scenic countryside to Bridestowe Lavender Farm, known for its fragrant fields and lavender-based products. Continue to the town of Ledgerwood, home to the remarkable Ledgerwood Carvings—a moving memorial carved into tree trunks, each telling a story of local soldiers who served in World War I. Then, travel onward to the breathtaking Bay of Fires, renowned for its white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and striking orange-hued granite boulders.

Note: While the lavender is only in full bloom during select departures in December and January (weather dependent), Bridestowe Lavender Farm offers a peaceful setting and a chance to sample its unique offerings year-round.

Scamander – Freycinet National Park – Orford

Travel south along Tasmania’s scenic east coast to Freycinet National Park, a spectacular region of granite peaks, secluded bays, and coastal bushland. Orford – Port Arthur – Hobart

On your final day, step back in time with a visit to the Port Arthur Historic Site, one of Australia’s most significant convict-era settlements. Continue along the Tasman Peninsula, stopping to admire natural wonders such as the Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen. Return to Hobart Airport in the late afternoon, where our journey concludes.

Bruny Island Adventure: Cruise, Cliffs & Wildlife
Depart Hobart on a guided coach journey, taking in scenic views of the River Derwent and the shimmering D’Entrecasteaux Channel as you head south to the charming village of Kettering. Board the ferry to Bruny Island and enjoy the unfolding coastal beauty. On arrival, travel to Adventure Bay and savour a delicious morning tea in this tranquil bayside haven.

Then, step aboard the iconic yellow eco-cruiser, purpose-built for the wild waters of Southern Tasmania. Embark on an exhilarating Bruny Island wilderness cruise, navigating beneath towering dolerite cliffs—among the highest in the Southern Hemisphere. Glide past dramatic sea stacks, explore sea caves, and witness the raw power of Tasmania’s remote coast. Keep watch for seals, dolphins, seabirds, and migrating whales in season. Marvel at the Friar Rocks, home to thousands of Australian fur seals and nesting seabirds—an unforgettable encounter with Tasmania’s wild side.

Tamar Valley Treasures: A Flavour Filled Day in Northern Tasmania  
Begin your day on the peaceful eastern banks of the Tamar River at Hillwood Berry Farm, where you can enjoy morning tea (own expense) and pick fresh berries straight from the vine. Cross the graceful Batman Bridge into the rolling hills of the Tamar Valley, where a boutique vineyard offers a tasting of the region’s acclaimed wines.

In the afternoon, discover the enchanting world of Seahorse World, a marine conservation centre where you’ll learn about these delicate creatures—and even hold one gently in your palm. Optional stops at a handpicked winery and distillery invite you to sample local wines and spirits, meet passionate producers, and explore the craft behind each bottle. End the day at Cataract Gorge, a stunning natural retreat near Launceston. Wander through lush gardens, spot peacocks, cross the suspension bridge, or ride the iconic chairlift for sweeping views of this ancient landscape.

Cruise Stunning Wineglass Bay 
Join a scenic cruise along the stunning coastline of Freycinet National Park, from Coles Bay to the iconic Wineglass Bay. Marvel at the dramatic pink granite peaks of the Hazards and discover secluded white-sand beaches like Cooks and Bryans, accessible only by sea or a long bushwalk.

Cruise past remote Schouten Island, home to little penguins and seabirds, and explore hidden sea caves, blowholes, and waterfalls carved into sheer granite cliffs. Experience the breathtaking beauty of Wineglass Bay from the water—its crescent of white sand and turquoise waters is unforgettable.

Along the way, uncover the region’s rich Aboriginal heritage and stories of early explorers and settlers.  

Itinerary 
Our Small group tour is carefully designed to give a real insight into the highlights, culture, wildlife and beauty of each region. Each day will be different, with a combination of travel days, sightseeing and free time to explore.

Pace & Fitness 
A moderate level of fitness is required for this tour. The itinerary includes visits to several of Tasmania’s stunning national parks, where walking is encouraged to fully enjoy the natural beauty and landscapes. Activities may involve walking on uneven terrain, nature trails, and up and down stairs.
The tour covers a wide range of locations across Tasmania and may include early starts and long travel days. Please refer to the day-by-day itinerary for specific details.

Participants must be able to move about unassisted, including:

  • Boarding and alighting from vehicles and other forms of transportation 
  • Walking up and down flights of stairs 
  • Navigating uneven terrain and footpaths 

If you have any physical ailments or mobility concerns, it is essential to disclose them at the time of booking so we can advise whether this trip is suitable for you.

Transfers  
Arrival transfers are not included in this tour. A departure group tour airport transfer is included, providing you are departing Hobart on the last day of the tour. Transfers are not included if you are extending your stay.

Meals  
Included breakfasts offered by the accommodation providers are typically buffet style, with limited vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free options. In more reginal areas, breakfast will be continental offering.

Baggage 
Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on tour, superseding any other baggage allowance. Excess baggage is not permitted. You are strongly encouraged to pack lightly. A light day bag or backpack is permitted on the coach. 
Porterage is not included, and you are required to carry your own bags. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk, and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

Sustainability 
As part of our commitment to more sustainable travel on tour, we’re taking steps to reduce single-use plastics. We encourage all guests to bring a reusable water bottle. Alternatively, you can purchase a bottle in destination to re-use.

Group Size
This holiday will proceed with a minimum group size of approximately 8 people and a maximum group size of approximately 22 people. If the tour does not operate due to minimum numbers, you will be offered a credit or an alternative date.

Exclusions  
Meals not stated, drinks on meals, optional tours, travel insurance (strongly recommended), tipping, personal expenses and anything not explicitly specified are at your own expense.

 Payment  
A first deposit from $299 per person is required to secure your booking. A second deposit (partial payment) is due 10 months before departure – the amount to be advised at the time of booking. The final balance will be due 5 months before departure. Full payment is due at the time of booking for departures within 5 months. 

Triple Share  
Triple share is not available.  

Child  
This tour is best enjoyed by adult travellers and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Children 12 years and above are subject to the adult price and must be accompanied by an adult.  

Price  
Surcharges may apply for select travel periods and departure cities. Prices are correct at time of publication and are subject to availability, change, cancellation or withdrawal without notice. All prices are in Australian dollars per person twin share unless stated otherwise.  

Change & Cancellation Fees 
Changes for any reason will incur a fee of $110 per person per change in addition to any travel service provider fees. Cancellation for any reason will incur a fee of $550 per person in addition to any travel service provider fees. Travel service provider fees for the tour and air components of the package are dependent on the date of the change or cancellation as follows:  

  • 0-29 days before departure 100% of the tour fee and 100% of the air fee will apply  
  • 30-60 days before departure 65% of the tour fee and 100% of the air fee will apply  
  • 61-99 days before departure 50% of the tour fee and 100% of the air fee will apply  
  • 100-180 days before departure 30% of the tour fee and 100% of the air fee will apply  
  • 181+ days before departure 10% of the tour fee and 100% of the air fee will apply  

 Airfares are generally non-refundable but any refundable ticket taxes will be returned. Full details of the change and cancellation fees is outlined in the Terms & Conditions available on our website. 

Deviation  
Any request to deviate from the original dates or routing, including early arrival and stay behind, is subject to a flight deviation fee from $150 per person plus applicable airfare and tax difference. Packaged tour extensions are not subject to the deviation fee (applicable airfare and tax difference may still apply) if booked according to the original advertised dates and routing.  

Health  
Comprehensive travel insurance with COVID-19 coverage is strongly recommended.

Tipping  
Tipping of local driver/guides is entirely at your own discretion. While it is not mandatory, it is always appreciated as a gesture of thanks for excellent service and local insight provided throughout your journey.

Flights  
The flights included in your package are based on a specific predetermined airfare allowance. Should there be a significant increase in airfares, fuel levies, taxes or government fees at the time of booking flights, then an airfare supplement may be imposed. The flights team will discuss options with you prior to ticketing, should this situation arise. Flights may not operate daily or directly to your destination. No show of any flight sectors will result in the automatic cancellation of all onward flights by the airline.  

Fuel  
In the unlikely event of a significant increase in fuel costs levied by third-party air, land and cruise transportation operators before travel, a fuel supplement may be passed on to the customer.  

Transfers  
Arrival transfers are not included in this tour. A departure group tour airport transfer is included, providing you are departing Hobart on the last day of the tour. Please ensure your flights depart after 5pm on the final day. Transfers are not included if you are extending your stay. 

Documentation  
Final documentation will be emailed 30 days prior to departure. 

Travel Insurance  
Travel insurance is not included and is strongly recommended. Ask our holiday experts for great coverage options.  

Force Majeure  
Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
