Packing for a Swan Hellenic cruise is all about comfort, practicality and readiness for adventure. The onboard dress code is very relaxed, and there are no formalities at mealtimes, so consider your itinerary and pack versatile layers that accommodate varying climates.
For onshore excursions, pack sturdy walking shoes and practical layers. You might want waterproof clothing and gloves for some excursions, depending on your itinerary. Quick-dry clothing is great for active days onshore. You will be provided with Swan Hellenic Expeditions parkas and rubber muck boots for shore excursions in Antarctica and the High Arctic.
Casual attire is perfectly suitable for dining and lectures onboard. It will be warm and comfortable inside, but it’s always worth having an extra layer if something interesting is spotted on deck and you want to dash out. For evenings, smart-casual outfits are suitable. Although there’s no formal dress code, many guests enjoy dressing up a little for dinner.
Don’t forget swimwear for the sauna and pool, and comfortable gym gear if you plan to work out.
