This week at My Cruises, we launched three new cruises with one of the world’s leading luxury cruise lines; Silversea. Silversea is synonymous with class, elegance and quality. Passengers on board Silversea’s ships can expect nothing but top-of-the-range service, dining and accommodation, plus an array of fascinating shore excursions in exciting and exotic destinations.
Did you know?
- Silversea was by Italian maritime law professor Antonio Lefebvre in early 90s
- Silversea is one of the last privately-owned cruise companies and is still owned & operated by the Lefebvre family.
- Silversea transports more than 800 passengers to over 900 destinations across all seven continents.
- Silversea is based out of Monaco
- The cruise line entered the expedition cruising industry with the introduction of the Silver Explorer in 2008 and now have three expeditions cruise ships
- Silversea has a loyalty program available on the completion of your first Silversea voyage. The Venetian Society benefits include access to private parties and savings on future sailings.
- Silversea is no stranger to receiving countless awards and accolades. From Cruise of the Year to Best Overall Ship awards Silversea’s awards list is impressive to read.
The Fleet
- The Silversea’s fleet consists of 10 luxury vessels with an 11th coming to our waters in 2021.
- The Silver Galapagos, Silver Discoverer, Silversea Explorer and Silver Cloud Expedition are designed to provide expedition voyages.
- Silver Muse is the cruise lines newest ultra-luxury cruise ship launching in 2021
- Add together the combined tonnage of all the cruise ships, and you’d have just under a whopping 200,000 tonnes of weight!
- The largest ship in the fleet is the Silver Muse, with 596 guests, 411 crew and a weight of 40,700 tonnes.
- At the other end of the scale is the Silver Galapagos, with 100 guests, 75 crew and a weight of 4,077 tonnes.
