Beijing
After a delicious breakfast, your exploration of Beijing commences with a visit to Tiananmen Square, one of the largest public squares in the world. From there, you’ll head to the Imperial
Palace in the Forbidden City. Officially known as the Imperial Palace Museum, the Forbidden City was initially constructed by the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty, Emperor Yong Le. A total of 24 emperors lived here successively. The construction of the palace began in 1406 and was completed in 1420. However, it has endured numerous events such as fires, rebuilds, sacks, and renovations over the centuries. As a result, most of the architecture you see today dates back to the 1700s and later.
This evening, you may wish to attend the Golden Mask Dynasty show (optional), a grand and visually spectacular performance that tells a story of love and heroism through acrobatics, dance, and music.
