Oslo, Norway

Welcome to Oslo! Surrounded by mountains and the sea, the capital of Norway is surprisingly cosmopolitan. Admire Edvard Munch’s famed works at the National Gallery, explore the medieval Akershus Fortress and discover the world’s best-preserved Viking ships at the Viking Ship Museum. Enjoy a 1-night hotel stay to explore this amazing city.

Oslo, Norway

Embark your 6 night cruise from Oslo onboard MS Trollfjord today.

At Sea

Your day at sea will allow you to take full advantage of everything the ship has to offer. Seek out hidden treasures and make the most of the facilities onboard. All of the ships activities can be found on the vessels daily newsletter. If relaxation is on your mind then your sea day will allow you to sit back, soak in ship life and watch the world as it floats by.

Stavanger, Norway

Welcome to Stavanger! This lively city retains a small-town atmosphere, with plenty of museums, stunning architecture, and a scenic waterfront to discover. Explore the cobbled lanes of Old Town, search for vibrant street art and shop and dine along Ovre Holmegate, perhaps Norway’s most colourful street.

Alesund, Norway

Welcome to Alesund! After being devastated by fire in 1904, Alesund’s architecture was rebuilt in Art Nouveau style, setting it apart from other Norwegian cities. Go museum hopping, sample fresh seafood and head up to Fjellstua Viewpoint for incredible views over the city.

Rorvik, Norway

Welcome to Rørvik! A filmic coastal town nestled among scenic fjords and rugged islands, this Norwegian gem offers rich Viking history, fresh seafood, cultural museums and exotic wildlife in bounds.

Svolvaer, Norway

Welcome to Svolvaer! Located kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, Svolvaer offers the ideal base to explore the dramatic landscapes of the Lofoten archipelago. Spend your visit exploring the great outdoors or exploring the town for a glimpse into local culture and the region’s dramatic Viking past.

Tromso, Norway

Tromsø is often called the ‘Gateway to the Arctic’. Sitting around 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle, the city is known for great winter activities and for chances of seeing the Northern Lights.

Once you’ve arrived and disembarked, you will meet your tour manager before setting off from Tromsø in a private first-class coach.

Your land-based adventure begins as we head east into the majestic Lyngen Alps, with scenic fjord crossings on local ferries. We’ll drive along one of Norway’s most breathtaking roads, following the stunning Lyngen Fjord.

Arriving in Skibotn, we journey southeast, crossing into Finland and reaching the picturesque Finnish resort village of Kilpisjärvi, just 8 kilometres from the Norwegian border.

Please note: conditions in the Lyngen Alps can be variable, so if the weather and road conditions are not in our favour, we’ll take an alternative route.

Tromso, Norway - Sami Reindeer Farm

After breakfast, start your journey to visit to a Sámi Reindeer farm. Meet the Tornensis family, learn about reindeer herding traditions, feed the reindeer. Afterwards, relax by the fire in a cozy log cabin as you hear Sámi stories and enjoy treats such as homemade biscuits and berry juice.

Levi, Finland

Today we’ll board a private coach and journey southeast along the picturesque Sweden-Finland border. You’ll arrive in the resort of Levi for two enchanting nights in a private aurora cabin, otherwise called a glass igloo. This unique accommodation, situated away from light pollution, provides clear views of the night sky. Maybe you’ll even see the Northern Lights right from your bed!

Upon arrival and check-in, enjoy a delightful dinner at the hotel restaurant. As evening falls, embark on a bus tour through moonlit, snow-covered forests, all the while looking out for the aurora.

This unforgettable experience includes thermal clothing, expert guiding and hot drinks, cookies and marshmallows by the fire. It’s the perfect opportunity to witness and photograph the Northern Lights in all their glory.

Levi, Finland

After a cosy night’s sleep, an energetic team of dogs will take you on a 5-kilometre sleigh ride through Lapland’s pristine forests. This unforgettable trip promises a fast-paced, memorable journey through the winter wonderland.

Following the safari, enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure, with options to join additional activities such as a reindeer or snowmobile safari (weather permitting). End your day with dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Please note: the sleigh may run on wheels as there may not yet be enough snow on the ground

Kemi, Finland

After breakfast, we’ll board a private coach for a scenic journey from Levi to Kemi. Arrive at the Experience 365 winter resort and check into the unique Glass Villas, where you’ll spend the night enjoying panoramic views of the landscape.

In the afternoon, head to Ajos pier on Bothnian Bay and board Sampo, an icebreaker ship. It’s a thrilling experience as the icebreaker ploughs powerfully through the frozen sea. If you’re brave and bold, take a refreshing dip in the icy waters while wearing a full-body waterproof survival suit. Return to the resort for a delicious dinner to complete your day.

Helsinki, Finland

Today we’ll travel by train from Kemi to Helsinki, where we’ll spend two nights. Widely regarded as one of the world’s best cities to live in, Helsinki is vibrant and colourful, offering a balance of historic architecture and contemporary living. With many trails nearby, the city is also known for its incredible natural scenery.

Helsinki, Finland

A two-hour city tour will take you to explore key landmarks including City Hall, the Parliament buildings, Finlandia Hall, the Opera House and, weather permitting, the famous Sibelius Monument. A highlight of the tour is a visit to the remarkable Temppeliaukio Church (Rock Church). As its name implies, this wonderful building is carved into solid rock.

In the evening we’ll enjoy a farewell dinner at the hotel with your fellow travellers.

Helsinki, Finland

Today marks the end of our adventure. After breakfast at the hotel, say your goodbyes to your guides and fellow travellers.
