Today is a free day to explore on your own in Cape Town. You may like to take a stroll through the lively V&A Waterfront with its shops, restaurants, and entertainment. Â For breathtaking views of the city, perhaps take the cable car up the iconic Table Mountain (own expense). This evening dinner is included to kick off our South Africa adventure.

Start with a city tour, including the Castle of Good Hope, St George’s Cathedral and a chance to wander through the colourful streets of Cape Malay. Continue to Stellenbosch, a charming town known for its Cape Dutch architecture and vibrant arts scene. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a renowned winery in Stellenbosch, where you can savour local cuisine and taste regional wines. After lunch, continue your journey towards Hermanus, a scenic coastal town famous for whale watching.

Enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of the town, walk along the cliff paths, visit the local markets, and relax at one of the seaside cafes while soaking in the stunning ocean views. Today you may like to join one of the optional boat tours on offer in whale season (own expense)

Head out on a scenic drive towards the Spice Route, located in the Paarl region. The journey will take you through picturesque landscapes of rolling vineyards, mountain passes, and quaint towns. Stop at the Spice Route, a collection of local artisans. There will be time to sample craft beer to chocolate and ice cream pairings, all while enjoying views of the vineyards and Table Mountain in the distance (own expense) Return to Cape Town for the night.

This morning, take a flight from Cape Town to Kruger, the start of our safari adventure. For the next few nights, we stay near the iconic Kruger National Park. Â This afternoon you may like to relax by the pool and take in the surrounds for the beginning of your African safari experience.

Today we enter Kruger National Park for a full day 4WD game viewing safari. Your expert, safari guide will help you identify the wildlife and fauna easily seen from your open-sided vehicle. The day includes boundless opportunities to spot the famous African Big Five – elephant, leopard, buffalo, rhino and of course lion.

Make the most of your free time by enjoying the serene surroundings and optional activities available. There is the option for an additional full or half-day safari (extra expense). This evening, savour your final dinner and sunset in the Kruger region.

Leave the Kruger National Park behind and continue the final leg of the tour into Johannesburg. This afternoon you may like to join an excursion to Soweto where you’ll visit iconic sites like Vilakazi Street, the Hector Pietersen Memorial, and Nelson Mandela’s former home.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and say goodbye to your Tour Leader in South Africa. Take the complimentary hotel transfer to the airport for your flight to Victoria Falls. On arrival a transfer is included to your hotel. Settle in for the remainder of the afternoon and meet your local tour leader. This evening, board a sunset cruise on the tranquil Zambezi River, complete with a refreshing drink in hand, the perfect start to Victoria Falls.

After breakfast explore one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Your guide will lead you through the lush rainforest, providing insights into the history and geology of the falls. Feel the mist from the falls and capture stunning photos of the cascades. The afternoon is free to explore the local markets or relax at your hotel. In the evening savour a traditional Boma African feast with drum show and dancing.

Early start as we cross the border into Botswana for a full day in Chobe National Park. Known for its abundant wildlife embark on an exciting 4WD safari. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo and a variety of bird species. After a lunch break, cruise along the Chobe River on a boat safari, and watch the hippos, crocodiles and elephants along the riverbanks. Head back to your hotel in Victoria Falls from a full day of wildlife sightings for a relaxing evening.

This morning is free for a leisurely breakfast. A transfer is included from your hotel to Victoria Falls Airport. Fly to Johannesburg for your last night in South Africa.

Our tour is carefully designed to give a real insight into the city, wildlife and the scenic route to Hermanus on the coastline. There is a combination of sightseeing and free time to explore in each city/region with optional tours. Breakfast at hotels is typically continental buffest style with cold dishes and basic hot dishes.
Our hotels are quality 3 star hotels. Hotel names referenced are to be used as an indicative guide for the standard of accommodation to expect. Actual hotels are subject to change and will be confirmed on your final documentation.

Exclusions
Airport transfers and meals not stated, drinks on meals, optional programs, visas (if required), travel insurance (strongly recommended), tipping, personal expenses and anything not explicitly specified are at your own expense.
Payment
A first deposit from $499 per person is required to secure your booking. A second deposit (partial payment) is due 10 months before departure – the amount to be advised at the time of booking. The final balance will be due 5 months before departure. Full payment is due at the time of booking for departures within 5 months.
Fitness
A moderate level of fitness is required. You are required to move about unassisted, walk up and down flights of stairs and navigate occasional uneven or steep terrain. You will be required to carry your own bags to and from hotels, stations, and terminals. This trip is not suitable for travellers’ requiring wheelchair, mobility scooters or facilities for disabled guests. Other walking aids may be permitted if you are able move about unassisted at the required pace. For advice on whether this trip is suitable for you, you are required to disclose physical ailments at the time of booking.
Pace
The pace of this tour is easy. Spend at least two nights at each place, with the longest coach journey being from Kruger to Johannesburg. Most coach days include multiple stops to enjoy the area. Scheduled free days allow some downtime, or alternatively, you have the flexibility to explore further and book optional tours (at your own expense). The activities range from easy to active.
Solo Occupancy
A single supplement from $2000 per person is payable in addition to the twin share price for solo occupancy.

Triple share is not available.
Extra Accommodation
Pre or post tour accommodation for one or two people in Cape Town at the same tour hotel or similar area, can be added with rates from $220 per room per night, subject to availability.
Child
This tour is best enjoyed by adult travellers and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Children 12 years and above are subject to the adult price and must be accompanied by an adult.
Price
Surcharges may apply for select travel periods and departure cities. Prices are correct at time of publication and are subject to availability, change, cancellation or withdrawal without notice. All prices are in Australian dollars per person twin share unless stated otherwise.
Amendment
Each amendment is subject to a non-refundable fee from $75 per person. Additional fees and fare differences from third-party suppliers including air, tour, cruise, and accommodation providers may apply.
Cancellation
Cancellation at any time is subject to a non-refundable fee from $550 per person. Additional fees and fare differences from third-party suppliers including air, tour, cruise, and accommodation providers may apply.
Deviation
Any request to deviate from the original dates or routing, including early arrival and stay behind, is subject to a flight deviation fee from $150 per person plus applicable airfare and tax difference. Packaged tour extensions are not subject to the deviation fee (applicable airfare and tax difference may still apply) if booked according to the original advertised dates and routing.
Passport
For international travel, each customer must provide a copy of the passport photo page at the time of booking. It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure all names are full names exactly matched to the passport with six months validity beyond trip completion. The customer is liable for all fees due to incorrect names, invalid passport information and expired passports.
Visa
South Africa – A visa is not required for Australian passport holders for the purpose of short-term tourist.
Zimbabwe – Australian passport holders need a visa to enter Zimbabwe. A 30-day tourist via is available on arrival, for a fee for USD 30.
Botswana – A visa is not required for Australian passport holders if you’re a tourist visiting for up to 90 days.
All visa requirements mentioned above are subject to change. Visa requirements for each origin and destination country are the responsibility of the customer to check and obtain (if required) with the local consulate or embassy. The customer is liable for all visa application costs and fees due to the failure to obtain the required travel documents.
Health
It is the responsibility of the customer to check and comply with the health, vaccination, COVID and immigration requirements of each origin and destination country, and health requirements imposed by air, tour, cruise and accommodation providers. Vaccinations, testing and quarantine costs are the expense of the customer. Comprehensive travel insurance with COVID coverage is strongly recommended.
Baggage
Each person is entitled to a strict maximum of one bag not exceeding 20kg on the coach tour, superseding any other baggage allowance. Excess baggage is not permitted. You are strongly encouraged to pack lightly. A light day bag or backpack is permitted on the coach. Porterage is not included, and you are required to carry your own bags. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk, and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.
Meals
Please notify us at the time of booking of any special dietary requirements and allergies. We will pass on your requirements but cannot guarantee that they can be met as certain choices may be limited or not catered for. You are encouraged to reconfirm requirements with your tour leader whilst on tour. Breakfast at hotels is typically continental buffet style cold dishes and basic hot dishes. Included lunch and dinners are typically authentic meals purposefully chosen to complement the local experience.
Accommodation
Accommodation names referenced are to be used as an indicative guide for the standard of accommodation to expect. Actual accommodation names are subject to change and will be confirmed on your final documentation. The standard check-in time is after 3pm and check-out is before 10am – actual times may vary.
Tipping
Tipping for guides and drivers is discretionary and recommended as a gesture of appreciation for the service provided. It is customary to tip the tour leader and driver at the end of the tour from AUD7 (80 ZAR) per person/per day and 10 to 15% on restaurant bills.
Flights
The outbound flight may depart one day prior to day 1 shown on the itinerary. The inbound flight may arrive one day after the final day shown on the itinerary. Flights are booked approximately 8 to 10 months prior to departure. The flights included in your package are based on a specific predetermined airfare allowance. Should there be a significant increase in airfares, fuel levies, taxes or government fees at the time of booking flights, then an airfare supplement may be imposed. The flights team will discuss options with you prior to ticketing, should this situation arise. Flights may not operate daily or directly to your destination. No show of any flight sectors will result in the automatic cancellation of all onward flights by the airline.
Fuel
In the unlikely event of a significant increase in fuel costs levied by third-party air, land and cruise transportation operators before travel, a fuel supplement may be passed on to the customer.
Transfers
Arrival transfer in Cape Town and departure transfer in Johannesburg is not included.
Group Size
This holiday will proceed with a minimum group size considered suitable for an optimal group tour experience.  If the trip does not operate, you will be offered a credit. Max group size is 48 people.
Tour Extensions
Packaged tour extensions must be booked at least 5 months before departure or before flights are issued.
Optional Programs
Optional programs must be booked directly with the guide on tour and paid in the local currency and may be subject to minimum numbers to operate and subject to change.
Itinerary
The operating schedule and itinerary may be impacted without notice by adverse weather, seasonal factors, closures, local conditions, COVID or other factors beyond our control including force majeure. If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, alternatives will be provided where possible. The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by the operator for optimum safety, enjoyment, and operation. Any reference to ‘optional’, ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense.
Breakaway
Customers must always remain with the tour group and must not leave the tour unless written approval is provided before departure.
Documentation
Final documentation will be emailed within two weeks of departure.

Travel insurance is not included and is strongly recommended. Ask our holiday experts for great coverage options.
Force Majeure
Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
