Gateway to Iceland’s Snæfellsnes peninsula, the small fishing town of Stykkishólmur looks like something out of a postcard, with colourful houses standing out in contrast to dramatic mountains in the distance. Explore the nearby Snæfellsnes Peninsula National Park, home to blank sand beaches and basalt cliffs. Alternatively, ride a snowcat to the top of the Snæfellsjökull glacier or take a guided coastal hike with a glacial cave tour.
