What happens to my Virgin Voyages Sailing References?
Don’t worry we’ve thought of everything to make this as smooth as we can for you. Your original booking reference will be transferred with you so it should be quick and easy to log back into the app and complete your Ready to Sail (online personaliser) for each voyage. Onboard benefits like Deep Blue Extras, Splash of Romance, Bar Tab & Sailor loot will follow you across to your new reservations too.
Do I need to re enter all of my personal information into the Virgin Voyages App?
Yes – as you are now sailing on brand new voyages your personal information will not carry across. Whilst your booking number, name and cabin category information is transferred, the app resets and you will need to complete your Ready to Sail (online personaliser) for each voyage. IMPORTANT – this means you’ll also need to make new dining reservations in the APP as well.

Your half-world journey onboard Resilient Lady consists of three individual voyages that have been designed in a way so they can be easily linked.
Elements of the Back-to-Back voyages experience to consider:
- Virgin Voyages makes every effort to accommodate Back-to-Back Sailors in the same cabin for consecutive sailings if voyages are linked and purchased in the same cabin category.
- In both Cape Town, and Barcelona all Back-to-Back Sailors will be required to participate in check-in process, as well as present yourself physically for immigration and customs procedures.
- While onboard the Virgin Voyages Sailor App solely supports the current voyage. As a result, it’s really important that you get as set sail ready as you can before you depart Australia.
- Bar Tab and Sailor Loot can only be used for the voyage for which they are purchased. Please note that these values cannot be moved to another voyage.
What about my Shore Things (Shore Excursions)?
Any pre-purchased Shore Things you had booked in for your originally planned sailings have been automatically cancelled and refunds are now underway to the original form of payment. Refund timeframe may vary based on your banking institution.

Should I get Travel Insurance?
We strongly recommend that you consider getting travel insurance to safeguard your trip. Travel insurance can offer financial protection for trip cancellation and interruption, as well as assistance should Sailors require medical treatment while travelling or encounter travel delays or baggage loss. Your overall voyage is made up of 3 shorter sectors so it’s also important that your insurance company is aware of this information too.
Rearranging and locking in an alternative route from Australia to Europe has come with a completely new sailing itinerary. As a result, it’s important that you have the appropriate travel insurance so sailors are encouraged review and ensure that they have the appropriate coverage.
Is there Wi-Fi on board?
Yes, unlimited Wi Fi browsing is included for all Sailors, so there’s no charge for social media, email, web browsing or messaging. An upgraded Premium entertainment package will also be available for just a bit extra to support streaming – subject to availability. Due to the nature of satellite connectivity at sea, there may be fluctuations in the signal from time to time. Need assistance – there’s always someone down at Sailor Services who can give you a hand and point you in the right direction if there’s connectivity issues.
What are the Visa and Immigration procedures on this new set of voyages?
Make sure that all your necessary travel documents are up-to-date and ready to go before you set sail. All Sailors must have a passport book valid for at least 6 months from the date of disembarkation. To ensure a smooth sailing through airport immigration, Sailors should ensure that they meet all applicable entry requirements.
There are certain ports where Virgin Voyages will be able to facilitate the immigration process on your behalf, and others where you will need to present yourself physically for an inspection. You will be provided with additional guidance around this process onboard.
Are vaccines required to sail?

When should I arrive at the terminal?
Sailors must follow their selected Terminal Arrival Time which can be selected as the last step of the Ready to Sail process in the Virgin Voyages Sailor App.
What should I be doing to get ready for my new sailings?
We recommend that you complete your check in and of course your onboard reservations for each of your individual sailings now. As you’re still here at home, it’s quick and easy to access all 3 of your sailings and lock in your dining, shows and shore things.
Once you are onboard, the Virgin Voyages app is designed to immerse you in your current sailing so it’s only going to allow you to book, update and re-arrange that individual sailing. Right now, you can access everything, so we recommend that you take some time now to make it even more convenient once you’ve set sail. These incredible extra days at sea are going to allow you to truly immerse yourself in the Virgin Voyages difference – we recommend that you make the most of your relaxing days onboard this beautiful and innovative ship.
What should I expect onboard?
- In addition to the award winning, Michelin star chef-curated menus, Sailors will be treated to daily specials dotted across the 20 eateries throughout the 3 back-to-back voyages.
- Beyond the resident shows, signature parties, live music, and mainstay Happenings, Virgin Voyages will be offering what they call their Festival Stage acts — a selection of incredible comedians, bands, speakers, dance activations and surprise Happenings.
- Virgin Voyage is keen for you to be able to relax and enjoy, and because of this there are no ship wide announcements- except in of course in emergency situations.
- For all other shipboard activations, once onboard reference the Virgin Voyages Sailor App and/or the Daily printed line up- delivered to your cabin and available in Grounds Club and Grounds Club Too
